Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Heat the Milk
- Pour 2 cups milk into a saucepan.
- Heat on medium-low, stirring occasionally.
- Do not let it boil.
Step 2: Reduce the Milk
- Let the milk gently simmer.
- Stir every few minutes to prevent sticking.
- Cook for 30–40 minutes until reduced by about half and slightly thick.
Step 3: Sweeten
- Add powdered sweetener.
- Stir until fully dissolved.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
Step 4: Add Butter
- Add 2 tablespoons butter.
- Stir until melted and smooth.
- Simmer 5 more minutes until creamy and glossy.
Step 5: Cool & Thicken
- Remove from heat.
- Let cool—it thickens more as it cools.
- Transfer to a jar.
