Ingredients

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Activate the Yeast
- Pour warm milk into a bowl.
- Add yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar.
- Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
Step 2: Make the Dough
- Add remaining sugar, egg, melted butter, and salt.
- Mix well.
- Gradually add flour, mixing until dough forms.
- Knead for 8–10 minutes until soft and elastic.
Step 3: First Rise
- Place dough in a lightly greased bowl.
- Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1–1½ hours, until doubled.
Step 4: Prepare the Filling
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Chop walnuts finely (or medium for crunch).

- Roll dough into a 12×18 inch rectangle.
- Spread soft butter evenly.
- Sprinkle cinnamon sugar evenly.

- Roll dough tightly from the long side.
- Cut into 12 equal pieces.
- Place in a greased baking dish.
Step 7: Second Rise
- Cover and let rise 30–45 minutes until puffy.

- Bake for 22–25 minutes until lightly golden.

- Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar and vanilla.
