Equipment

  • 1 Vegetable peeler
  • 2 Muffin tin
  • 3 Mixing bowl

Ingredients

Base:

  • - 1 medium-sized zucchini
  • - 400 grams of ground meat beef, chicken, turkey, or a combination

Toppings:

  • - Cherry tomatoes
  • - Mozzarella cheese
  • - Broccoli or cauliflower
  • - Parmesan cheese

Seasonings:

  • - Salt
  • - Spices such as pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and herbs

Instructions

Prepare the Zucchini:

  • - Wash and peel the zucchini. Slice it into thin strips using a vegetable peeler.
  • - Lay the strips on a clean towel to absorb excess moisture.

Arrange the Zucchini:

  • - Lightly grease a muffin tin.
  • - Roll each zucchini strip into a tight spiral and place it in a muffin tin cup. Repeat until all cups are filled.

Prepare the Ground Meat:

  • - In a mixing bowl, combine the ground meat with salt and your choice of spices (e.g., pepper, paprika, garlic powder, herbs). Mix well.

Fill the Zucchini Roses:

  • - Spoon the seasoned ground meat into the center of each zucchini rose, pressing down gently to fill the space.

Add Toppings:

  • - Top each zucchini rose with a cherry tomato, a piece of mozzarella cheese, and either broccoli or cauliflower florets. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

Bake:

  • - Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • - Bake the zucchini roses for 30 minutes, or until the meat is fully cooked and the zucchini is tender.

Serve:

  • - Allow the zucchini roses to cool slightly before removing them from the muffin tin.
  • - Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
