- 55 grams of melted butter
- A pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon of vodka/arak/brandy
- Oil for frying
For the coating: - 200 grams of dark chocolate
- 1/2 container of heavy cream (125 ml)
- Colorful confetti sprinkles
You can also use powdered sugar glaze, milk chocolate, white chocolate, Lotus spread, or other favorite spreads (pretzel, Kinder, etc.)
Preparation 👩🏻🍳
- Mix together in a mixer with a kneading hook, flour, fresh yeast, and sugar.
- Gradually add milk, egg, and finally the butter.
- When it forms a dough, add salt and vodka, and knead at medium speed for 15 minutes.
- The dough will be quite sticky, so you can use lightly oiled hands to transfer it to an oiled bowl for rising.
- Let it rise until it doubles in size (about 1.5 hours), or overnight in the fridge, covered with plastic wrap.
- After rising, roll out on a floured surface to a thickness of 1-1.5 cm.
- Cut out circles with a 4 cm diameter cutter, and inside each, cut a 1.5 cm diameter circle.
(Gather the dough scraps into a ball, let it rest for 10 minutes to soften again, then roll out and cut more circles – repeat until all dough is used). - After cutting the circles, let them rise for 20 minutes, meanwhile heating oil to 160°C.
- Fry on both sides until golden brown and transfer to a frying rack.
- Melt the chocolate with the cream and set aside to cool to room temperature.
- Dip the donuts to coat and sprinkle with confetti.
