Ingredients:

  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 2 onions
  • A handful of parsley
  • 1 kilogram of lamb + 600 grams of beef mince
  • 1/2 teaspoon isot (Urfa pepper)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/3 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt to taste

For marinating the onions:

  • 2 onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sumac

Method:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
  • Finely chop the red bell pepper, onions, and parsley.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the lamb and beef mince. Add the chopped red bell pepper, onions, and parsley.
  1. Season the Meat:
  • Add isot (Urfa pepper), red pepper flakes, cumin, and salt to the meat mixture. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  1. Shape the Kebabs:
  • Take a small portion of the meat mixture and shape it around skewers to form long, cylindrical kebabs. Ensure the meat is tightly packed around the skewer to prevent it from falling off during grilling.
