- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1 tsp salt
- 3½–4 cups all-purpose flour

👩🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Activate the Yeast
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast
- Stir gently and let sit 5–10 minutes
- It should become foamy (this means the yeast is active)
Step 2: Make the Dough
- Add melted butter, egg, and salt
- Mix well
- Gradually add flour, 1 cup at a time, mixing until a soft dough forms
Step 3: Knead
- Transfer dough to a floured surface
- Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic
(or knead 5–6 minutes using a mixer with dough hook)
Step 4: First Rise
- Place dough in a lightly greased bowl
- Cover with a clean towel
- Let rise in a warm place 1–1½ hours, until doubled in size
Step 5: Shape the Rolls
- Punch down the dough
- Divide into 12–15 equal pieces
- Roll each piece into a smooth ball
- Place into a buttered baking dish
Step 6: Second Rise
- Cover and let rise again 30–45 minutes
- Rolls should be puffy and touching
Step 7: Bake
- Preheat oven to 190°C / 375°F
- Bake for 15–18 minutes until lightly golden
Step 8: Butter Finish
- Remove from oven
- Immediately brush generously with melted butter
- Let cool slightly and serve warm 🤤
🌟 Tips for Ultra-Soft Rolls
- Do not add too much flour — dough should be slightly sticky
- Milk + butter = softness
- Brushing butter while hot keeps rolls tender longer
