  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder: Adds a warm, earthy aroma.
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala: A blend of spices that adds depth and complexity.
  • 1 tsp dry mango powder (amchur powder): Provides a tangy, slightly sour taste.
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder: Enhances the spiciness.
  • Salt to taste: Balances and enhances all the flavors.
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder: Adds color and a subtle earthy flavor.

Preparation:

  1. Mix all the ingredients for the masala well: Ensure that the spices and vegetables are evenly distributed throughout the mashed potatoes.
  2. Prepare the chillies:
    • Cut the chillies lengthwise from the middle.
    • Use a spoon to remove the seeds carefully, ensuring the chillies remain whole and can be stuffed.

  • 1 bowl gram flour (besan): Forms the base of the batter.
