Eat Raw For Weight Loss

Some people think it’s hard or expensive to eat raw to lose weight. Let’s put this into perspective. It has been recently written that the dollars spent in the diet industry, each year, exceed 40 billion. 40 billion dollars! Every single year! To put this into perspective for you, that is $1,000,000 spent, 40,000 times over.

It’s insane! People want to lose weight, to look better and feel better. So, they go online and search. They search for a magical tool or miracle program that will have them 20 or 30 or 100 pounds lighter in an impossibly short amount of time, requiring very little work or lifestyle change on their part. And herein lies the 40 billion dollars.

Eat Raw Is Cheaper To Lose Weight

For far, far less money we could eat raw to lose weight, and get a lot healthier in the process. There is no magical tool or program that will allow them to weight loss, yet people purchase one program, find it doesn’t work, and move on to the next one. And so on and so on…. while all they really need to do is eat raw – and it doesn’t even have to be a total raw food diet.

Losing weight takes a commitment and dedication. And it takes time. There is simply no way around it. Even though all those online “diet gurus” will tell you different. They have to tell you what you want to hear to get you to give them your money.

But, those programs are not reality. The bottom line is to lose weight, you need to eat healthier and exercise. Period.

There are a few basic “diets” that we all know about. You can choose to go low-calorie, low-carb, or low-fat. All are good and will work. But there is another way that is just becoming recognized recently. You can eat raw.

What Does It Mean To Eat Raw?

It’s not as weird as it sounds, actually. Eating raw is essentially eating only uncooked, unprocessed, natural, whole foods.

Advocates of eating raw say that the benefits of a raw diet vastly out-weight the negatives. Things like changing your entire mindset about what’s for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

They say that this is the way nature intended it, that cooking your food kills the natural nutrients, and the enzymes that our bodies need. They say your energy level will increase by leaps and bounds. You’ll sleep more soundly for shorter periods of time. That you will look better and healthier.

If you eat raw, it’s supposed to boost your mental clarity, as well. And, one huge benefit to many is, you can eat as much as you want. Not only will you not gain weight, but you won’t get tired and uncomfortable after eating a large, raw meal.

Whether or not you’re for or against eating all raw foods, you have to admit that there are a lot of chemicals and such in the processed food we eat every day. Sure, those frozen dinners you heat up in the microwave are quick and easy and that’s a definite plus for our busy lives. But, the additives put in there to allow them to freeze and be edible after heating up, well, they’re definitely not natural and we don’t really know what they’re doing to our bodies.
