Beef Stir-Fry with Sweet and Tangy Ketchup Twist

Tonight’s dinner is a delightful beef stir-fry with a unique twist of sweetness and tanginess from ketchup. It’s a simple and quick recipe that’s sure to please your taste buds!


Ingredients:

  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef
  • 1 sliced onion
  • 1 sliced bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Combine soy sauce, cornstarch, sugar, and black pepper in a small bowl. Marinate the beef slices in this mixture for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the skillet and stir-fry until browned and fully cooked. Remove the beef and set it aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté the sliced onions and peppers until slightly softened.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet and add ketchup. Stir well to coat everything in the ketchup sauce and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
