Ingredients:

For the Meatballs:

  • 250g medium-fat ground beef
  • 1/2 cup fine bulgur (90g)
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 1/2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1/2 tablespoon pepper paste
  • 1 egg
  • Less than 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • About 30-40ml water

For the Soup:

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 medium potatoes
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon pepper paste
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • Less than 1 teaspoon salt
  • Less than 1 teaspoon vegetable seasoning powder
  • Less than 1 teaspoon dried mint
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • About 1 liter water

Instructions:

  1. Mix all the ingredients for the meatballs well, adjusting the consistency with water as needed. Form small balls from the mixture and place them on a lightly floured tray.
  2. In a suitable pot, heat the oils, add the tomato and pepper pastes, and sauté. Add diced potatoes and carrots, sauté briefly, then add the flour and sauté briefly again. Add water and bring to a boil. When it starts boiling, add the meatballs, stir, add the spices, cover, and cook over low heat until the vegetables are tender, about 30 minutes.
