Merlan Fish with Creamy Sauce and Potato

Ingredients:

  • Merlan fish fillets
  • Cornmeal
  • Potatoes
  • Chicken seasoning
  • Cooking oil
  • Butter
  • Flour
  • Cooking cream
  • Vegetable broth
  • Curry powder
  • Fresh dill

Instructions:

  1. Preparing the Merlan Fish:
  • Salt the merlan fish fillets.
  • Coat them with cornmeal.
  • Place the fillets on a baking tray.
  • Drizzle with oil.
  • Bake at 200°C until golden brown or fry until crispy.

  • Slice the potatoes into rounds.
  • Mix them with chicken seasoning, cornmeal, and a bit of oil.
  • Arrange on a baking tray.
  • Bake at 200°C until golden brown or fry until crispy.
  1. Making the Creamy Sauce:
  • Melt butter in a saucepan.
  • Add flour and briefly sauté.
  • Pour in cooking cream and vegetable broth.
  • Season with curry powder and chopped dill.
  • Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes until thickened.
  1. Serving:
  • Pour the creamy sauce over the baked/fried merlan fish fillets.
  • Serve alongside the crispy potato side dish.
  • Garnish with fresh dill for an extra touch of flavor.
