Churros Poppers

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • Oil for frying

For the coating:

  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

Directions:

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine water, 2 1/2 tablespoons of sugar, salt, and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Bring the mixture to a boil, then remove it from the heat. Stir in the flour until a dough ball forms.
  2. Heat oil for frying in a deep-fryer or deep skillet until it reaches 375°F (190°C).
  3. Using a pastry bag fitted with a star tip, pipe strips of dough into the hot oil. Fry until they turn golden brown, then drain them on paper towels.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together 1/2 cup of sugar and cinnamon. While the churros are still hot, roll them in the sugar-cinnamon mixture until evenly coated.
  5. Serve the churros poppers and enjoy their deliciousness!
